Royals skipper Pask bows out in style

Leamington Royals brought the curtain down on their season with a convincing 44-16 defeat of Nottingham Outlaws B at The Crofts.

Captain Marcus Pask rounded off the scoring to complete a memorable end to his final Royals game.

The victory also brought up Royals’ first competitive win of a disappointing 2011.

“We’ve had many new faces at training this season and its been a steep learning curve for us all,” said Pask, who is set to retire after three seasons with the Royals.

“The boys can be proud of what we have achieved this season.

“I’m sure they will build on from here in preparation for 2012.

“Its been a pleasure to play for the Royals and was a fitting end to get a win in my last game.

“I wish the Royals all the best for the future.”
