Fellow hometown side Warwick Allstars, playing only their second competitive tournament together, lost out in the knockout stages to the Knights.

However, after holding finalists Lichfield to a 1-1 draw in their opening game and thrashing Hertfordshire side Famous 5 in the knockout stages, team captain Dave Cooling was delighted with their progress.

“Its been a great couple of days of competition,” said Cooling who scored a hat-trick against Famous 5, with Damian Bevan adding the other four.

“We’ve coped with the conditions and played against some of the best in the UK and Europe.

“This is still a young team, but the future looks great.”

UK Segway Polo is based in Warwick with practices held weekly at St Nicholas Park.
