Weather claims Racing Club and Southam games
Racing Club Warwick’s trip to Stretton Eagles tomorrow in the Les James Challenge Cup and Southam United’s home Midland Combination Premier clash with Pilkington XXX have both been postponed.
A statement posted on the Midland Combination’s website said: “As the pitches are already frozen and possibly covered in snow and with the forecast for sub-zero temperatures this evening and tomorrow, the Management Committee have decided to issue a blanket postponement of all Midland Football Combination fixtures for Saturday 11th February, with the exception of the Division Two fixture between FC Stratford and Leamington Hibernian.”
Both Kenilworth Town’s Stratford Alliance fixtures are also off, while a preliminary inspection was due to be held at the New Windmill Ground this afternoon ahead of Leamington’s home fixture with Swindon Supermarine.
