Money raised will go towards Refuge.

A day of sport to raise money for charity will be held in and around Leamington will take place this weekend.

On Saturday August 22, from 8am-8pm, participants can take place in different sports and activities over the 12 hour period such as tennis, football, badminton, walking, running, zumba, Bollywood and bhangra dancing and personal training sessions.

Money raised will go towards Refuge.

Organiser Karen Gill said: "One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime and two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.

"Refuge supports around 6,000 women and children on any given day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution and so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

"By kindly sponsoring us you are helping to save and change the lives of thousands of women and children escaping domestic violence."

People can just choose and pay for an activity that they would like to participate in and make a contribution to the Just Giving page stating the activity that they are paying for, i.e. '£10 for tennis tournament'.
