The Rugby & District Sunday Football League will be without Webb Ellis Eagles for the remainder of the season, but on a positive note had some great results this week as teams near the end of the season.

In Division One, Webb Ellis Lions missed a penalty late on so had to settle for a 2-2 draw against title contenders Royal Oak United.

In Division Two, after losing in the cup last week to CRC Reserves, Stag and Pheasant Newton held the league leaders in an impressive 3-3 draw.

CRC goals came from Adam Neale, Jordan Mosby and Harvey Sinclair.

Despite going a goal up early on, Bar 8 FC suffered a heavy 7-1 defeat to Braunston.

Joe Pruden scored for the home side.

Lloyd Monger netted a hat-trick, Lewis Isom hit two and Mark Dyson and Martin Fincham were also on the score sheet for Braunston.

Rugby Celts looked to close the gap on CRC Reserves with a 7-0 victory over United Prince of Wales.

In the Hospital Cup quarter-final, The George Daventry narrowly lost to CRC 1st team 2-0.

This week is cup semi-final week with the winners playing in the final at Butlin Road on May 3.
