BALL HOCKEY: Third time lucky for Rockets

Rugby Rockets ball hockey team were victorious at the BHUK Tier2 Spring Qualifier Tournament in Rotherham Simply Skate Arena last month.

This was their third Qualifier Tournament for the Nationals and after two lost finals they did it! In a very hard tournament, Rockets lost the first game 0:3 against Ayrshire Wolverines.

This loss put the Rugby team under big pressure, because another loss would send them home, but all other matches were won. Rockets beat Sheffield Knights 6:0, Sheffield Steelers B 4:0 and Tayside Thunders 3:1.

In the quarter-finals Rockets won against Northumbria Sharks 2:0 and in semi-final game they gained revenge for the group loss to Ayrshire 3:0. Their final game was a win against Sheffield Steelers 1:0.

Next event and the biggest challenge for Rugby Rockets will be the Nationals tournament which will be in Skate Central, Sheffield on June 11, where they compete for promotion Tier1.
