Writer Higson wows both pupils and teachers

WRITING a zombie novel might not be much like making love to a beautiful woman, but author and comedian Charlie Higson made the hearts of two sets of people sing when he came to Warwick last week.

The writer of the Enemy and Young Bond series visited to speak to pupils at Myton School and Coten End Primary School about his love of horror films and how violence for teenagers seems more palatable in books than computer games, but teachers were equally eager to see the man who played Swiss Toni and Bob Fleming in The Fast Show.

Myton’s head of English Julie Stevens said: “I’m not sure whether the staff were more excited than the students. I’m sure some of them were reliving Ted and Ralph.”
