Woman wears her wedding dress to work

Newly-wed Jackie Tudor, 47, is activities coordinator at Bromson Hill care home in Ashorne, and arrived at work in her wedding dress to show it off to residents who weren’t able to make it to the church ceremony.

Most of the 40 staff attended the wedding, while one colleague, Linda Edgar, was maid of honour.

Mrs Tudor said: “I didn’t want the rest to feel left out – they’re like an extended family to me. I’d like to have got them all there but that just wasn’t possible. About 14 of the residents waited at the bottom of the staircase and I went to the rooms of those who were unable to come downstairs. It sparked some nice reminiscing about their own wedding days.”
