Woman threatened with bladed instrument in Whitnash burglary

Warwickshire Police are appealing to the public for information following an aggravated burglary that occurred over the weekend in Whitnash.

The incident took place at around 9pm on Saturday (April 18) at a home on Franklin Road.

The victim, a 42-year-old woman, answered her front door to an unknown man who threatened the victim with a bladed instrument before entering her house.

The man walked through the house, searching through her items. During the burglary, a clear jewellery box containing various items of family gold was stolen.

The suspect was wearing a scarf over his face with a dark jacket and dark gloves. He is described as having a ‘local’ accent, no other description is available.

Police are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to forward by calling 101, quoting incident 354 of April 18 2015.
