Woman dies in car crash on south Warwickshire road

The incident occurred between junctions 12 and 13 of the M40 at around 11.30pm.

An ambulance, paramedic officer, rapid response car and the Medical Emergency Response Incident team (MERIT) were sent to the scene, to find that two cars had been in collision.

An ambulance spokesman said: “Sadly, it quickly became apparent to crews that nothing could be done to save the woman. She was confirmed dead at the scene.”

Crews also assessed men for minor injuries but they did not require hospital treatment.
