Woman died as a result of hanging

DETECTIVES are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a 28-year-old woman and six-year-old child.

The two bodies were found in Stratford on Friday morning when Warwickshire Police were called to the scene at around 10am after being alerted by a member of the public who had visited the address.

The woman who died has been identified as Clare Louise White, of Christie Way, Stratford and the child as Ayesha White-Mukumbira of the same address.

On Sunday the family of the two issued the following tribute: “The family is heartbroken and shocked at the tragic loss of our beloved daughter and granddaughter.

“We don’t know, at this stage, what has happened other than we won’t see either of them ever again.”

The family has asked that their grief and privacy is respected at this time.

A post mortem examination carried out on Saturday shows that Miss White died as a result of hanging, while a post mortem on Ayesha was inconclusive and officers are now awaiting the results of toxicology tests.

Police are still treating the deaths as unexplained and are preparing a report for the coroner.

They are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
