Whitnash PCSO is awarded for his dedication
Part of the Whitnash policing team, Steven (pictured right with his certificate) is the first winner of the Police Community Support Officer of the Year Award in Warwick District.
The award was created in memory of PCSO Joanne Graham, whose attention to duty and her caring approach was admired by many.

Hide AdShe died in December 2012 after a short illness, and in recognition of the example she set an award will be given annually in her name. Presenting the first award, Cllr Clare Sawdon, chairman of Warwick District Council, said: “Steven is a worthy winner for going above and beyond his duties.
“He is able to engage with all ages in the community. He is caring and able to empathise with victims of crime and support the vulnerable.
“He is enthusiastic and determined, including fundraising for sports facilities and his commitment is evident in his role as a school governor.”
PCSO Graham’s parents Roy and Patricia Collins were present to see the award made.

Hide AdCllr Sawdon said: “Joanne regularly went above and beyond her expected duties, having a positive impact on the community.”
