Warwick Hospital closes ward due to norovirus outbreak

VISITS to Malins ward at Warwick Hospital are still suspended due to a suspected outbreak of ‘winter vomiting bug’ norovirus.

Families, friends and loved ones of patients are only being allowed into the affected area when there are compassionate grounds and have been asked to discuss the issues with their ward manager.

The hospital’s coronary care unit was earlier closed to visitors but South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust website now states only that the Malins ward is affected.

Updates will be posted on the hospital trust’s website.
