Violent burglary in Warwick: witnesses sought

The victim of a violent burglary in Warwick this morning (Monday) has had to be admitted to hospital due to the severity of the attack.

Two men dressed in dark clothing had forced open the back door of the victim’s home in Boswell Grove at around 1.25am, before assaulting the victim - who suffered lacerations to his arm - and another person in the house.

The burglars then stole property, including mobile phones and gaming consoles, then made off towards the the parking area to the back of the flats in Harmer Close.

Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between midnight and 1.30am to make contact with Detective constable Phil Hewish or Detective constable Sean Tonelli at Leamington police station by dialing 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, where the information can be given anonymously.
