Wellesbourne man injured in fall from wall

AN ELDERLY Wellesbourne man has been airlifted to hospital after falling around 7ft from a wall.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a house in Willow Drive in the village at 12.45pm today (Thursday), where paramedics found the man being cared for by members of the public.

The 68-year-old had been pruning trees when he fell from the wall onto concrete. Suffering from pain in his pelvis and back, he was given pain relief and put on a spinal stretcher before being airlifted to University Hospital, Coventry by the Midlands Air Ambulance for further assessment and treatment.
