Transport police make arrest after attempted robbery at Leamington Station

The incident happened just before 10pm.

The suspect is believed to have threatened his victim with a hypodermic needle before attempting to rob them.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “We were called to Leamington Spa station to a report of an attempted robbery on Monday, 14 December.

“Officers were called at 9.52pm and attended with colleagues from Warwickshire Police.

“A 28-year-old man from Country Durham has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and is currently helping officers with their enquiries.”
