Tax petition handed to PM
Bookshop owners took almost 160,000 signatures to Downing Street to campaign for a fairer tax system.
Frances and Keith Smith from Warwick and Kenilworth Books handed over the online petition to highlight the lack of corporation tax paid by huge companies like Amazon UK. The pair were joined by Warwick and Leamington MP, Chris White, and Margaret Hodge MP and said they were “really excited” to have gained so much support for the cause.
