Step into the Victorian era at Warwick site
Free cake will be dished up to visitors to Hill Close Gardens in Warwick who turn up in period costume for the site’s Victorian Weekend on August 10 and 11 - and prizes will be awarded to the best efforts.
The weekend will include ‘floriography’ - the Victorian language of flowers - and Victorian cookery, garden machinery and pest control methods. Visitors can play croquet and children can follow trails and play Victorian games. Refreshments, gifts and plants will be on sale. www.hillclosegardens.com
