Soap stars show skills to support charities

STARS of the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks took to the field at Leamington FC to play in a charity football match for two good causes on last week.

They took on a team from radio station Touch FM to raise money for Myton Hospice and Alder Hay Children’s Hospice.

Fans came in their hundreds to see their favourite characters in the flesh, take photographs and get autographs.

Among the actors were Ricky Whittle, also known for taking part in Strictly Come Dancing, and Jimmy McKenna, who plays the role of Jack Osborne.

The event culminated with a party at Evolve nightclub, which had organised the match.
