Slideshow: Street theatre in the heart of Warwick
Cold winds and a heavy hail storm did not deter the young performers in the Playbox Theatre company as they entertained crowds with street theatre last weekend as part of the company’s Warwick Spring festival.
The youngsters showcased different pieces - all Playbox originals - throughout the day, including a performance called Chasing Time, a play about monkeys and some ‘invisible theatre’ which may have taken some Warwick townspeople and visitors by surprise.
The Warwick Spring festival, celebrating the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth and Warwick’s 1,100th year, continues with Billy Smart Circus performing until today (Sunday), among other events. Details at www.playboxtheatre.com
