School pupils walk the new village trail

Architecture, art and history were among the topics studied by pupils from Bishops Tachbrook Primary School when they followed the newly opened St Chad’s church trail - developed by the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies - in the village last Friday.

The year six pupils learnt about the stained glass, war memorial and font at the ancient parish church - and they were fascinated to discover grooves in the church wall made by the sharpening of arrows and other implements.
