School community helps to raise money for Intensive Care Unit at Warwick Hospital

Staff and pupils at a school in Warwick have helped to raise more than £1,000 for the Intensive Care Unit at Warwick Hospital.
The new headteacher at Aylesford School, Tim Hodgson, held a non-uniform day at the end of the spring term to raise money for the NHS in recognition of the hard work carried out by NHS workers during the last 12 months of the pandemic.

Hide AdStudents, staff and parents managed to raise £1,350 in total and have asked that the money goes towards Warwick Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
On Wednesday (May 5) the school's headboy, Luke Weatherby-Blythe and headgirl, Lauren Maher, presented the cheque to Eileen Rock, the fundraising manager at the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which operates Warwick Hospital.
Mr Hodgson also plans to hold a non-uniform day every term to raise money to support more charities in the area.
