Running kids can record their time at free Leamington event

CHILDREN can as usual get active outdoors with Kids Run Free’s running event in Leamington on Saturday - but this time they can record their result.

The free monthly run takes place on the first Saturday of every month at Newbold Comyn at 9am and, with the charity’s new registration system, every participant will receive their own barcode that will be scanned at the event. Their result will then be directly uploaded onto the Kids Run Free website.

Adults and chidlren can help raise funds for the Leamington-based charity, which is also launching new events at Coventry Memorial Park, at the Raceways Moreton Morrell Mad Dash at Warwickshire College’s Moreton Morrell centre on Saturday April 21.

There will be 10k and 20k events at 11am, while a children’s fun run starts at 10.45am. Entry fees cost £14 for the 10k, £16 for the 20k and £3 for the fun run, with cheaper fees for affiliated entrants.
