Three babies were born at the hospital on Monday, with another being born at home with the help of a midwife.

Whitnash couple Emma and Liam Belgrove were delighted to show off their third child, Oliver, who was born at 11.54am weighing 7lb 1oz.

Mrs Belgrove said: “It is a bit weird to think he was born on the same day as the royal baby.

“Liam was really into the whole thing, and Oliver will always be reminded about it by his dad.”

Mr Belgrove added: “Emma and I actually got married the day after William and Kate but we had announced our wedding before them.

“We also told everyone about Emma being pregnant with Oliver a few weeks before the Duke and Duchess announced their news so we said they were copying us.”

Rebecca Fraser - who was born on the Queen’s Silver Jubilee - is also pictured with her daughter Millie Ann, who was born at 9.48am weighing 6lb 11oz.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born at St Mary’s Hospital in London at 4.24pm weighing 8lb 6oz.

Crowds and the world’s media had gathered outside the hospital to await the announcement of the birth and the baby’s name was announced on Wednesday.
