Robber threatens Warwick off licence assistant with knife

A knife-wielding robber walked away from a Warwick off licence with cash from the till on Sunday.

The man walked into into Woodloes off licence in Reardon Court at about 7.20pm, where he threatened a member of staff with the knife and demanded he hand over the till.

The member of staff did as he was asked and the offender left the store with the drawer from the register.

The robber is described as white, wearing a black jacket and a white hat with red dots and matching scarf.

He left the store on foot, turning right towards Woodloes Avenue South, but may have then made his escape from the area on a bike.

The shop assistant was not injured during the incident.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the offender arriving at or leaving the store.
