Reader captures crash on camera

The incident happened in Admington Drive at around 5am.

Police attended the incident after reports were made of the Mini Cooper being driven erratically.

A witness, who sent in the photograph above, said: “After driving it around the green and churning up the grass, they lost control of the vehicle and careered off the road through a hedge, fence and conservatory, coming to rest only when it had hit the back of the house.

“Two fire engines, police and an ambulance were in attendance and three youths were apprehended at the Shell garage close to the estate on Birmingham Road.”

Two males aged 17 and 19 and a 14-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to Nuneaton police station.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
