Princethorpe students visit centre for nuclear research

Sixth form physicists at Princethorpe College discovered there is no substitute for first hand experience when they zipped off to Geneva to visit CERN - Europe’s leading organisation for nuclear research.

They spent a jam-packed weekend in Switzerland pursuing their love of all things particle related.

Upper sixth physics student Maja Naumczyk said: “To be in the same laboratory as the world’s leading scientists who are constantly fielding new discoveries was exciting.”
