PICTURE SPECIAL: Crowds float along to Crick Boat Show

Once again the Crick Boat Show, held over the bank holiday weekend, drew in people from across the UK.

Around 25,000 visitors were expected over the three day event, which is based at Crick Marina.

The annual event showcases the inland waterways industry with over 250 exhibitors from across the canal world.

There were also boats to look round, free boat trips, free fun fair, 15 bands and entertainers, including hours of live music each night after the main show closed with singer-songwriter Hazel O’Connor headlining on the Sunday night.

a real ale marquee, children’s activities, and a large variety of food and drink stalls, plus 300 camping pitches for those wanting to stay overnight.

This was the 16th year the event, organised by Waterways World in partnership with the Canal & River Trust, has been held at Crick Marina.
