Launched last month, the Community Emergency Response Fund (CERF) will award grants of up to £1000 (or more in exceptional circumstances), to organisations who have a role in supporting the community and are experiencing short-term financial hardship, needing to adapt or increase their services or have had to cease operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Warwick District Council’s portfolio holder for health and community protection Cllr Judy Falp said: “During ‘Volunteers Week’ I would firstly like to pay tribute to the many voluntary organisations, groups and individuals who have gone the extra mile to help the most vulnerable in our community during these difficult times.

“Secondly I want to make a plea to all those involved to come forward and claim this funding to help you to continue with your amazing work.”
