Rugby School to give away fairytale £10k wedding to NHS worker in competition - here's how to enter

The all inclusive wedding day prize is being offered by the Enterprises arm of the school, which organises bespoke weddings within the school's grounds and historical venues.

The competition is open to any current NHS employee who may have had their wedding cancelled this year due to Covid-19, or who is engaged and hoping to get married in 2021.

Exclusive use of Rugby School’s wedding facilities for an indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony for up to 50 guests including catering is included in the prize.

In addition, Enterprises’ local wedding suppliers have offered to provide a whole range of services for the couple to include transport, photography, £500 towards the bride’s dress along with suits for the groom and best man.

A celebrant and wedding planner is also included along with a range of cakes, stationery and even a live band for the evening party.

Rugby School Enterprises Planning and Development manager, Rachel Watson, said the Enterprises team wanted to do something to say thank you, as a business, to all the NHS workers.

She said: “It’s hard to put into words how grateful we are to our amazing NHS and the heroes who work within this caring environment, especially now when they are at great personal risk themselves.

“With Covid-19 ruining so many people’s plans, including weddings, we decided that what we really wanted to do is to give away an extra special day for an engaged couple who may have had their big day cancelled, or who were looking forward to getting married next year.

“We have been overwhelmed by the number of local businesses who have been keen to help us arrange this day and provide their services free of charge.”

This perfect day at one of the region’s most iconic wedding settings is during Valentine’s week on February 18, 2021.
