Rugby Rokeby Lions working hard to try to make sure Santa Sleigh tour can go ahead this year

The Rugby Rokeby Lions Santa Sleigh, a fixture in the town's Christmas calendar, sees Father Christmas tour the town while raising money for good causes.

But this year the group is having to try to find a way to make sure Father Christmas and his elves can safely tour the town in light of social-distancing measures.

A spokesperson for the group said: "We’ve been in touch with Santa and his elves regarding the changing Covid-19 situation.

"We are really working hard getting the sleigh ready and making sure that we can be Covid compliant but we can't make any promises at this present time.

"We’ll update with more information as soon as we have it."
