Museum in Warwick creating free summer holiday activity packs

The Market Hall Museum in Warwick is set to open it’s doors to visitors today (July 21) but will not be able to run its summer holiday programme of events for families.

But the Learning and Community Engagement team have been busy preparing a weekly activity that can be done at home.

Rebecca Coles, senior learning and community engagement officer, said: “We have a fantastic free offer for our families to still enjoy our summer events from home.

"The packs are full of interesting facts, fun craft ideas and games.

“You can also tune into our social media channels to watch demonstrations on some of the craft ideas.

"If you can’t get a pack, all the instructions will be on our website so everyone can join in.

Visit the website www.warwickshire.gov.uk/heritage each week for a different themed activity and watch instructional videos on Youtube.

The team have also put together a free pack of resources on each theme that can be collected from the museum.

Packs are limited and you must pre-book a time slot for collection.

The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am and as the interactives and toys have had to be removed temporally the team have also created a trail around the museum full of games, challenges and quizzes.
