Leamington counsellor offers online support for young girls during lockdown

The short mini workshops cover things such as daily routine, anxious thoughts and self-care.

The videos are sent out weekly on Mondays at 11 am.

Nicola said: "I believe at a time like this when our young girls are having to come to terms with being shut up daily without having contact with their friends is hard for them.

"When we went into lockdown my work immediately dried up.

"I was running group workshops along with one to one counselling and working at two local youth clubs.

"I felt helpless.

"I wanted to find a way to reach out and help.

"I knew that some of my clients would be struggling with anxiety during this crisis and I didn’t want to sit back and do nothing.

"I was so lucky to have the support of my teen daughter Molly.

"She does all the techie stuff.

"I couldn’t do them without her.

"If they can help just one young girl it’s enough to make it worthwhile."
