Kenilworth Covid-19 support group raises more than £2,000 for the cause

More than £2,000 has been given in donations to support the work of a Kenilworth group set up to help people in the town during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The donations have been made to the Covid-19 Support Kenilworth page.

More than 2,500 calls have been made to the group and volunteers have delivered more than 150 prescriptions to those in need.

Volunteers have also been helping out shops such as Budgens to get shopping out to the most vulnerable people in the town.

Group co-ordinator Simon Morris said: "Every Monday I’m going to run 'Just Giving Monday' to see if we can add to the amount and in four weeks' time double the total.

"So,come on, get your fingers at the ready and donate please on Monday and today if you want

"Let's see what Kenilworth can do."
