Grand effort from caring gran Barbara

LEAMINGTON grandmother Barbara Tandy has added to the thousands she has raised to find a cure for a rare disease afflicting her grandson.

Mrs Tandy, 88, raised £2,000 last Christmas to fund research into fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, also known as stoneman syndrome, in which the sufferer’s bones gradually fuse together.

Mrs Tandy has been raising money since her grandson, Kenilworth-born Paul Coleman, who is now 32, was diagnosed aged 11.
