A Warwick author has said that his new book released about the wildlife in one of the town's parks has been a surprise success.

Rick Thompson's book 'Park Life' , which is about St Nicholas Park, is selling so well that he will be holding another book signing session next week.

Rick said: “I am absolutely delighted that so many people are interested in the birds, animals, flowers and insects on their doorstep.

"Regular contact with nature is extremely important for our physical and mental well being, particularly at this difficult time.

"We are so fortunate to have some superb parks in Warwick, with wild areas as well as leisure facilities.

"At my initial signing session at the end of August when 'Park Life' was launched there was so much demand we ran out of books.

"And Warwick Books in the Market Place have had to restock twice.

"People are still requesting signed copies, so I will be in the visitor information centre in the Court House between 11am and 1pm on Monday September 21 to talk about the book and sign copies."
