Simon Weaver’s humanist contribution last week called for the subject of Religious Education in schools to be made more relevant by the inclusion in the curriculum of all the major streams of religious thought as well as secular philosophies.
Certainly this together with a grounding in moral philosophy would give students a rational basis for their chosen beliefs and life styles.
