Time for some joined-up thinking

In addition to the latest plan for thousands of homes to be built locally, we are also being requested to provide 15 plus sites for permanent Gypsy and travellers dwellings.

All of these sites will require the provision of drainage, sewage, electricity, access roads etc. - all at extra cost to us together with maintenance costs which do not appear to have been addressed yet.

Does anyone know why WDC cannot join the Local and Gypsy Plans together and gain the obvious cost savings for all of us, plus eliminating the costs of conducting CPO’s to push the Gypsy sites through which have a great deal of public resistance?
