This is a proper community club

I am writing to you disgusted at an article in last week’s Courier edition regarding funding for the community. I appreciate that the Chase Meadow community need a community centre, however to take funds that were earmarked for the improvements to Racing Club Warwick is appalling.

Have many of those councillors actually been down there on a Friday or Sunday evening when the pensioners are enjoying a game of bingo, or a Sunday eve when the men’s pool team are playing, or a Tuesday and Thursday evening when the darts teams are playing?

The first team are doing great,the reserves also doing well,and the under 14s are also on course to win the league. If this is not a community club,then please tell me what is! I go to the club with my family amongst many others and enjoy a night out where I can take the children and have a night out.

It’s about time those sat around the table making decisions come and support the community club they already have instead of the constant bickering I read in the newspaper.. - Name and address supplied.
