Support for blue badge scheme
I would like to give my support to George Sawbridge and Robin Billington (KWN letters last week) on the subject of the possible charging of blue badge holders to park. I completely agree with them, and hope they get a lot more support.
Robin Billington wrote a very good letter, and emphasised a lot of reasons why this parking charge should not be introduced. I agree entirely with every word. There is one thing I would like to add, which Robin did not mention. In this country, and especially in this area, we have ex-servicemen and women who have served their country in various conflicts all over the world, a lot of these personnel have come home minus limbs, and various other disabling injuries - they will also have to pay.
