Some solutions to parking deficit

I have read with much interest the on going debate over parking over the past weeks and months. There are few areas that I would highlight.

1. Why do we not charge for parking on Sundays in all Warwick and Kenilworth? Surely this would raise some revenue and goes some way to reduce the deficit

2. Why not charge more for residents permits? These should attract the same level of increase as car parking charges

3. Why not reduce the number of traffic wardens that patrol the streets to save some money?

4. Why not open up the Barrack Street car park for non-council employees during the week? Or at the very least charge council employees (there is currently no charge!) Hospital employees face a charge to park on site. And they are not parked in the centre of a town. This is the largest car park in a tourist town and the public cannot use it for the week. The car park holds 270 cars. - Name and address supplied.
