Relocation idea a re-run of 1977
This is a rerun of the situation in 1977 when there was surge of support to build in Leamington even though the council was not enthusiastic and we eventually obtained a lease at Gaydon as part of a deal which allowed the development of the Gaydon test tracks which of course became the present site for world class automotive design and manufacture.
An indoor green can be built on any site that is sufficiently large including car parking and are equally at home on industrial estates, on top of supermarkets - in fact anywhere they do not impact on other amenities.

This consideration rules out any site in Victoria Park even though ideally it should be able to share the facilities that are consolidating down there.
In 1977 sites that were discussed included one on Newbold Comyn depending upon planning permission for hotel, on Acre Close near to the Whitnash Club providing access for building consent was available. My own suggestion was to put it on spare land across the river near to where the navy club is situated with a foot bridge across the river to tie the facilities together.
Fortunately we have eight years before the Avon Valley lease terminates but it would be better to make a decision with the next six months,
