Normal service will not be resumed

Although I did not see Mr Cox’s letter (Courier, March 16) , I can imagine that I would more than likely endorse his sentiments ie the loss of the library music and drama collection is a tragedy for music and art lovers of Warwick and Leamington.

For the letter in reply to Mr Cox from the library service to suggest that ‘normal service’ will ever be resumed is very misleading.

You cannot imply that access via a computer is equivalent to browsing though a collection of music copies.

Having moved to the Warwick area two years ago I was delighted as a musician to discover the rich collection of music in Warwick library.

Whilst I know nothing of the people of Nuneaton’s interest in music and drama, I do know that Warwick and Leamington is rich in the arts and the region is poorer from the loss of this library facility.

A little more honesty in the response would have been appropriate i.e. loss of the collection resulted from cost savings, a move to a smaller library with limited space. - Name and address supplied.
