Latest in a long line of let-downs

As a resident of Warwick west who has to use the road every day, I read with despair that the changes proposed to Jury Street will go ahead, so the way to help the traffic congestion stretching miles every morning is to create lots of crossings for the few pedestrians, so slowing traffic even more and making queues longer.

So yet again the residents west of Westgate get shafted by the council officials and the councilors who voted for them while this lot still draw their expenses and receive their perks. but they keep letting us down.

They have let us down over the various developments of the racecourse (including an inappropriate hotel development); they have let us down at Chase Meadow as the developers run roughshod over the local residents; they let us down over parking in the town, of which they keep the best for themselves (for free) and make the rest of us pay through the nose for what’s left; they let us down by closing fire stations and police stations; and they let us down by just not caring about the services they are supposed to provide or the people they are supposed to serve.

Why are we all putting up with this? - N Hodgkinson, Hanpton Road, Warwick.
