Decision defeats all logic

The vagaries of the present English planning system. The OK is given for the rape of virgin farmland, of which we are losing many hectares a year, and they are not making anymore. But the more sensible proposals for the development of the eye sore of the old Soans site are rejected. Logic it seems is defeated.

This is a brownfield site, in a beautiful position bordered by the canal, the exact sort of development that should be taking place on the edge of town. Affordable housing, a short walk to the shops and the town for the proposed residents, and the plans are rejected. Meanwhile it seems that the council are quite willing to throw ever more traffic on the already vastly congested Myton Road and Europa Way and create another swath of urban sprawl.
