Brighten up please
Each year I marvel at the efforts made by the council and its contractors in displaying so many hanging baskets throughout our town and keeping them watered all season long.
We are privileged to have so many floral displays throughout the town and in the gardens.
We have however for several years now had hanging baskets resembling a sea of grey looking ‘balls’. In these times of austerity may I appeal to those planning the 2012 display to ring the changes and dispense with the grey. Instead can we please have cheerier colours to brighten our days hopefully at no extra cost? - Anne Piper, via email.
