Myton Hospice’s Moonlight Walk is set to be a pyjama party in Leamington and Warwick

HUNDREDS of women will don their pyjamas and take to the streets of Warwick and Leamington to raise money for Myton Hospice this autumn.

The charity’s Moonlight Walk will be held on Saturday September 10 and will start in the grounds of Warwick Castle.

Sponsored by Leamington lingerie company Bravissimo, the women-only walk follows an eight-mile route around the two towns.

Entrants are encouraged to dress in pyjamas or their favourite night wear.

Last year’s event involved about 750 women and raised more than £70,000 for the cause.

Charlotte Ingram, events manager, said: “This is the third time we have held the event and last year’s walk was fantastic.

“This year we are hoping to make the walk even bigger and encourage more ladies to enjoy our Girls Night Out and raise money for Myton.

“It will be a fantastic evening and it is always very inspiring to see hundreds of women getting together and walking through Leamington in their bunny ears and pyjamas.”

The walk starts at 10pm and radio station Touch FM will be there on the night to provide entertainment and get walkers in a party mood.

Participants are encouraged to raise as much sponsorship money as possible.

Registration for the event costs £10, including administration and event costs, and all participants will receive a goody bag and medal when they complete the walk.

Photographs of last year’s event can now be viewed on Facebook. For more information call the events team on 838831 or visit www.mytonhospice.org
