Man threatened with knife in Leamington

A man was threatened with a knife by a would-be robber who demanded money in an alleyway in Leamington.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred in an alleyway off Coniston Road on Saturday April 6 at around 8.45pm.

The victim was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife, although none was seen, and demanded money.

The offender is described as white, in his early twenties, around 5ft 8ins tall, clean shaven and of stocky build. He was wearing a dark purple and red hooded top, light trousers and dark trainers with white on the side. He ran off towards Rugby Road.

Nothing was stolen and no injuries were incurred.

Police staff investigator Anthony Smith would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, particularly a man who is believed to have walked past, or anyone with information which may help him with enquiries.
