Lord discusses politics at school

WHILE politicians were debating the future of the House of Lords in Parliament this week, pupils in Warwick were reflecting on their discussions with a Lord who visited their school.

Lord Faulkner of Worcester spent time with sixth formers at Myton School last Friday, during which he spoke about the work and role of the House of Lords and gave the pupils a chance to ask questions.

Head of sixth form Glyn Owen said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the students to gain first-hand knowledge of the political and democratic processes which shape their lives.”

On the same day, the school also hosted its Olympic-themed ‘Myton Games’ as part of the its ‘Enterprise week’.
