Leamington street food vendor The Jabberwocky wins another award

The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) recognises those businesses making outstanding contributions to festivals and events nationwide, and their panel of judges selected the Jabberwocky for this honour.

The Judges said: “All produced amazing food, and the judges recognise that this part of the industry has changed dramatically, Jabberwocky bring something new to event catering and really deliver this.”

The Jabberwocky van was out trading at Warwick Victorian Evening with co-owner Barny Luxmoore at the time. The ceremony was attended by his fellow director and wife Flic.

She was accompanied by their four-month old son Mortimer, who stole the show on the night.

The award comes after another win for the Jabberwocky at the Café Life awards in London earlier this year, where their signature Manwich toastie was crowned the winner in the Toasted Sandwich category.

“2015 has been a big year for us,” Said Mr Luxmoore

“we are so grateful to all our fans from Warwickshire, Coventry and Birmingham who have supported us this far.

“Here’s to bigger and better things next year.”

The Luxmoores are currently working on another street food van, which should be hitting the road in early 2016, and have just published a book ,Street Food Soliloquy, which is designed to help other traders starting out on their own food adventure and is available on Amazon.

You can catch the Jabberwocky every Sunday until Christmas on the Parade at the Leamington Yuletide Market, in Birmingham at Digbeth Dining Club on the 18th and at the Coventry Lower Precinct Shopping Centre on the 19th.
